VIA University College, Research and Development is committed to providing a vibrant and dynamic environment for research and development within educational, health, technical, organisational and social subjects. The main goal of the Division is to exchange knowledge within the organisation and with external professional practitioners, businesses, the public sector and research institutes in Denmark as well as with international partners.
The Division promotes cross-disciplinary development initiatives, research partnerships and new programmes in collaboration with all educational units of VIA.
The exchange of research and knowledge is an essential mission at VIA University College and enriches the experience of all our staff and students. Therefore, VIA expects its full-time staff to be engaged in research and development activities with measurable output. This contributes to the enhancement of a research-based educational curriculum as well as the promotion of an advanced learning environment.
We strongly encourage students to contribute to our research projects and programmes in order to develop competences in knowledge-based development and research within the professional disciplines.
The Division encompasses a number of cross-disciplinary research centres, several programmes and PhD projects as well as the VIA libraries, Forum for Applied Research and VIA Systime.
