Medical Care
Together with your yellow card (health insurance certificate), you will receive a list of general practitioners to choose from.

If you need medical attention outside your general practitioner's opening hours, you should call the emergency medical service.

Dentist
If you need to see a dentist during your stay in Denmark, you can choose any dentist who takes in new patients. You can check the local phone book or ask your contact person on campus to help you. Please note that the national health insurance only covers part or none of the treatment depending on what kind of treatment you need. You should also be aware that dental care in Denmark may be rather expensive.

The yellow card (the Health Insurance Certificate)

Students who have a Danish residence permit and are registered with the municipal civil registration office will be covered by the Danish health insurance scheme from the date they have received the “yellow card” after their arrival in Denmark. The Danish health insurance scheme covers free medical care at a general practitioner's or, if necessary, at a hospital.
