Double diploma and joint degree
VIA UC, School of Technology and Business cooperates with a lot of international partners on a wide range of subjects. Besides the ordinary exchange of students and staff and development of knowledge, we have entered into partnerships to be able to offer both joint degrees and double diplomas to our students. These types of “extended” programmes are made to increase mobility and improve the student’s chances of an international career.
A joint degree is defined as:
A single diploma issued jointly by at least two of the institutions that offer a joint programme.
This means that the student must participate in courses at both issuing institutions according to a curriculum agreed upon by both institutions.
A double diploma is defined as:
Two national diplomas issued by at least two institutions engaged in a joint programme.
This means that the student obtains a diploma from both institutions meaning that the programme is valid in both countries.
Contact your home institution or the contact person at the relevant programme at VIA UC to know more about your possibilities for a double degree or joint diploma.
Here, you can see an example of double degree students.
