Health and safety
Denmark in general is a very safe country, but as in all countries you are advised to take precautions. Here is some information to help you in case of problems.
In case of emergencies, dial 112
For police, dial 114
Medical Care
Together with your yellow card, you will receive a list of doctors to choose from. If you need a doctor before you receive the yellow card, please contact international office.
If you need medical attention outside your doctor’s opening hours, you should call the emergency medical service, tel.: +45 70 11 31 31.
Dentists
If you need to see a dentist during your stay in Denmark, you can choose any dentist who takes in new patients. You can check the local phone book or ask in the reception at Campus. Please note that the national health insurance only covers a part of the treatment or none depending on what kind of treatment you need. You should also be aware that dental care in Denmark might be rather expensive.
Please contact international office for help if you have any doubts about what to do in such situations.
Insurance - general recommendations
Remember to check the coverage of your personal insurances before leaving your home country. It is very important that you are covered by
- a health insurance and
- a third-party liability insurance
during your stay in Denmark.
We also recommend that you consider taking out
- an insurance covering your luggage and personal belongings,
- an insurance that covers home transportation in case of severe illness and
- a personal accident insurance.
