Viborg/Thisted School of Nursing

Viborg/Thisted School of Nursing has two campuses. The number of students is  about 500 in total, approx. 400 of them in Viborg and approx. 100 of them in Thisted. Both schools have high academic standards and active study environments.

Apart from attending lectures, students work together in groups where each member is expected to contribute actively to discussions as well as being capable of working independently. The student's own critical and analytical initiative is a very important element.

Viborg Campus
Viborg School of Nursing is located at Campus Viborg which is situated within walking distance from the old town centre of Viborg. The new education centre opened in the summer of 2010 and hosts 1300 Danish students and 200 international students. In immediate proximity to the Campus you have cinema, sports arenas, bowling centre, fitness-studio and music hall.

Viborg is a medieval town with many beautiful buildings and an atmosphere of Danish history. It is also an active town with a vibrant café life and many thriving shops.

The pedestrian area in the town centre and the marketplaces are full of a nice atmosphere with open markets held at “Hjultorvet” every Saturday throughout the year. Moreover, the whole Viborg region offers many activities and nature experiences.

Every autumn Viborg School of Nursing offers a term in English open for both exchange students from all parts of the world and Danish students.

Thisted Campus
Thisted School of Nursing is a part of a local education centre and shares Thy Education Centre with Schools of Social Education and Marketing Economics.

Thisted is a small town situated in the north-westen part of Jutland. It has a population of 15,000 people. It is a favored destination because of the area’s natural beauty and its location close to The North Sea and Limfjorden, the largest inlet in Northern Denmark.

This small town has a friendly atmosphere with specialised shops, cafés and restaurants. Thisted offers a variety of sports and outdoor activities – for example, aerobics, tennis, golf and windsurfing.
