Practical placement

An essential virtue of VIA University College and our students is to put theoretic results into use in the ‘real world’ outside the gates of the University College.

If you should join us on a full degree program, you will experience this in same way as all our Danish students do: by having 20 weeks of practical placement.

No matter the direction of your studies, you will enjoy the experience of getting practical training in a company or in public administration and learn things there, that can't be taught in a classroom.

We have an excellent cooperation on practical placements with local businesses, who appreciates the interns we send them. To an increasingly wider extent, we get the same kind of positive feedback from both foreign-based companies and Danish companies operating abroad.

For you, this is important as you can either go abroad or stay in Denmark for your practical placement period.

The practical placement has a dual purpose. You will get to know what your professional future is all about, while you are still preparing for it, and you will get good contacts with employers within the field of your study.

The main reason for companies and business life to recruit interns is the same: to get to know the well-qualified and highly skilled graduates. There is a huge demand and competition for employees in Denmark these years.
