Work Placement

An essential virtue of VIA University College and our students is to put theoretic results into use in the 'real world' outside the gates of the University College.

If you should join us on a full degree programme, you will experience this in the same way as all our Danish students do: by having one or more periods of work placement.

No matter the direction of your studies, you will enjoy the experience of getting practical training in a company or in public administration and learn things there that can’t be taught in a classroom.

We have an excellent cooperation on work placement with local businesses, who appreciate the placement students we send them. To a continuingly wider extent, we get the same kind of positive feedback from both foreign-based companies and Danish companies operating abroad.

This is important for you as you can either go abroad or stay in Denmark for your work placement period.

The work placement has a dual purpose. You will get to know what your professional future is all about, while you are still preparing for it, and you will get good contacts with employers within the field of your study.

The main reason for business life and public administration to recruit placement students is the same: to get to know the well-qualified and highly skilled graduates. There is a huge demand and competition for employees in Denmark these years.
