Registration / Application

To become an exchange student within an exchange programme, you must:

1. contact the international coordinator at your home university and present your plans. The international coordinator will inform you about the application procedures for the different exchange programmes.
2. wait for your university's approval of your plans.

In addition to the above, the international coordinator will ask you to write a letter to the department in Aarhus with a short curriculum vitae, your professional fields of interest and your wishes for your stay. We will then advice you, if necessary, and send you an application form.

Application deadlines

Spring semester:   1 November
Autumn semester: 1 April

If your home university does not have a bilateral partner agreement with VIA University College, you are welcome to apply directly to the Department of Social Work in Aarhus for entry to the "Social Development Work" course. Please note that the tuition fee for students from universities without such an agreement is EUR 3,200. We strongly recommend that you seek approval of your plans within your home university before applying for entry to the course.
