Denmark is internationally noted for its approach to social education and VIA University College, Peter Sabroe is recognized for its high quality in educating social educators or, in other words, social pedagogues.

If you want to gain knowledge, understanding and practical skills in social pedagogical work with children and youths or disabled people of all ages, VIA University College, Peter Sabroe is the place for you to study.

The course is conducted in English and alternates between the following three areas:

• Theories and methodology of social pedagogy.
• Creative subjects, e.g. drama, music, movement, arts and crafts.
• Field work and field studies.

During the course, you will develop your competencies in reflecting and carrying out social pedagogical care work and you will develop competencies in using creative subjects as a method in pedagogical work.

The module is partly integrated in the fourth semester at VIA University College, Peter Sabroe, and will be open for both Danish and international students.

The duration of the module is four months which constitute 30 ECTS credit points.
