Outline Syllabus

  • Account for the significance of the social and institutional context for the individual, the pedagogical environment and the social education profession in a democratic society
  • Identify and analyse problems and opportunities for development in an individual, institutional and social perspective
  • Account for differing views on health and differing theories regarding the relationships between health and living conditions, lifestyles and identity, drawing on theories and methods in the health sciences and social education
  • Analyse people’s everyday life, social conditions and development from a health education perspective
  • Show an understanding of the social education practice as it relates to health educational issues
  • Account for the connection between the senses and physical coordination
  • Analyse movement and sports activities for their contribution to physical, personal and social competences and opportunities for development
  • Make use of different movement activities that strengthen and challenge the physical development of people and promote their joy of movement
