"On weekends and holidays we travel and see other parts of Denmark. We rent cars, hitch-hike or go by bus or train. It's very easy. This autumn break we are going to Norway."

Subjects

Occupational Therapy forms the academic basis of the course together with other health sciences, natural sciences, social sciences and the humanities.

The common thread running through the Bachelor Programme in Occupational Therapy is the occupational therapy subject itself.

You will learn how to use your creativity and professional and personal insight to create solutions working with people who are no longer able to cope with everyday life.

You will be trained to think in terms of solutions that are not only based on the individual, but are also very much based on the interaction between the individual and his or her surroundings.

Examples of this can be how people can:

  • gain a better understanding of their own lives
  • analyse their habits and routines
  • learn to function again despite a disability
  • learn a new way of doing things despite a disability
  • learn to restructure their everyday life
  • get a job that suits them
  • enjoy everyday life despite their limitations
  • be actively involved in improving their own health
