Silkeborg School of Nursing

Silkeborg School of Nursing is characterised by its warm and professional environment.

The school has about 300 students and 24 educational and administrative staff. The students' interests and contact between students and academic staff have high priority.

We cooperate closely with our clinical placements. The placements are situated at the local hospital in Silkeborg and in primary health care in Silkeborg and its surrounding area.

All students attending Silkeborg School of Nursing have a tutor from the academic staff to support them in their studies. Exchange students will also have one or two students as "buddies".

The town of Silkeborg
Silkeborg is well-known for its beautiful nature. The largest river in Denmark runs through the town and the café and restaurants along it are very attractive.

The town is surrounded by large forests and beautiful lakes ideal for outdoor life. There are extensive possibilities for indoor and outdoor sport activities. The town centre is full of inviting shops in its large pedestrian area.

It is always possible to find live music during the weekend since Silkeborg has a very active music life. Silkeborg has an intense night life.
