Application procedure and deadlines

If you wish to apply for one semester or a clinical study at VIA University College, School of Nursing, please do as follows:
Download the Student Application form and Learning Agreement at the bottom of this page and follow the instructions below:

• Clearly state the period during which you wish to study.
• Find the courses you wish to take at VIA University College on this homepage and fill in the "Learning Agreement" and discuss with your home institution, which courses or clinical studies you need to undertake in order to achieve full credits at your home institution.
• Please attach one page describing why you want to study abroad and which personal objectives you have for the exchange.
• Please attach your academic results so far.

Please send the Student Application, the Learning Agreement and required attachments – all signed by your home institution to:

Application deadlines:

• For attending the autumn semester: 1  March 
• For attending the spring semester: 1  October

Upon reciept of your application

• When we have received your application, we will return the signed Student Application together with an offer for where the exchange can take place.
• Before your arrival, you will receive information about where to meet on the first day.
• One of our students will receive you upon arrival and take you to your accommodation. If you want this, please contact the international coordinator at the place where you are offered an exchange to inform him/her about the time and place of your arrival.

Usually exchange students do not pay tuition fees:
Students pay no tuition fee if they come from institutions with whom VIA University College has a Nordplus or a Bilateral Agreement. However, from the autumn of 2006, exchange students from non-EU countries will need to pay tuition fees (except for Deakin University, Melbourne).

If you come from an institution where VIA University College has no agreement on the exchange of students, please contact us to hear more about your possibilities.
