Application Procedure and Deadlines

If you wish to apply for one or more semesters at VIA University College, please do as follows:
Download the Student Application Form and the Learning Agreement on this page and follow the instructions below:

  • Clearly state the period in which you wish to study.
  • Find the courses you wish to take at VIA Universty College on this website and fill in the "Learning Agreement". Discuss with your home institution which courses and which project you must undertake at VIA University College in order to achieve full credits at your home institution.
  • Application deadlines of the autumn semester are:
    1 June for EU students
    1 May for non-EU students

    and the deadlines of the spring semester are: 
    1 December for EU students
    1 November for non-EU students

Your application along with the enclosures "Student Application" & "Learning Agreement" signed by your home institution must be sent to:

Upon reciept of your application
  • We will return the signed Student Application together with an admision letter.
  • Upon arrival in Horsens you will have to contact the Student Service department with regard to your accommodation, so please contact this department at least 2 weeks prior to your arrival with information on time and place of arrival. (e-mail address: studentservice@viauc.dk).
  • Before your arrival, we will send you information concerning where to meet on the first day and the activities of the first days.
Usually exchange students do not pay tuition fee:
Students pay no tuition fee if they come from institutions that have entered into a Bilateral Agreement on the exchange of students with VIA University College. However, from the autumn of 2006 exchange students from non-EU countries will have to pay tuition fees.

If you come from an institution where VIA University College has no agreement on exchange of students, please contact us to hear more about your possibilities.
