The Board of VIA Univercity College has given the Faculty two years to create new programmes in Art and Culture, Art-in-Business as well as Art and Management.
New education programmes being developed:
BA in Performing Arts and Cultural Entrepreneurship is a two-sided education programme, partly consisting of teaching in skills within various performance disciplines for music, theatre, dance or visual arts, and partly a number of subjects and subject areas within both the culture communicative area and cultural entrepreneurship, i.e. the operation of cultural centres, the administration of the cultural life, the management of cultural projects, consultancy within the cultural field, vocational innovation, fundraising, marketing, etc.
This programme originates from the creative and cultural setting in the city of Holstebro, Denmark, in cooperation with Nordisk Theatre Laboratory/the Odin Theatre Company led by Eugenio Barba, the Royal Theatre's Ballet School, the Peter Schauffus Ballet, Holstebro Music Theatre and Holstebro Music School.
